My husband thought he’d capture what, “Afew things from the shops” looked like 🤣.

1. The reason I’m so passionate about Greek cooking is because it keeps me closely connected to my heritage. I want to encourage people to cook where they come from, introduce the younger gen to cultural flavours and pass down the recipes our grandparents and parents brought us up with 🙏.

2. I’ve been cooking since the age of 12. My mum went back to work and food was no longer waiting for us after school. So I decided to get food started for her when she got home. The first thing I ever cooked for my family was, Ψαρόσουπα (fish soup). I continued to cook for my family up until the day I was married and moved out ❤️❤️.

3. I spent four years at National Art School practicing as a Ceramic artist 👩🏽‍🎨🏺. I mastered a technique called Reduced Lustre that began in the 9th Century AD in the Middle East. I’m also a painter, drawer and high school Visual Arts teacher 👩🏽‍🏫.

4. It took me almost two years to get the one macaron recipe correct. For anyone learning, the secret is not in the recipe but in your method 👌.

5. It’s difficult to be a practicing ceramic artist in suburban Sydney, I’d have to live in the Southern Highlands to perform ceramic firings. This is why cake has become my new art form temporarily 🎂🧁 🍰. A mix of food an art? Yes please 🤩🤩.

Meat cooked till soft with an array of greens such as celery, lettuce, spring onions and dill in an egg lemon sauce. 🥚 🍋

Traditionally cooked with lamb although my mother and I were curious if it could be done with beef, so I decided to give it a try.

After a feast of souvlakia, chops, turkey, prawns, oysters, octopus and many sides ☺️ was my attempt at a Black Forest inspired triffle.

I thought I’d get on the band wagon with this one and share a little about myself. I am quite a private person but would like my Insta fam to know a little about me.

2. My little business began after I baked and decorated my husband his birthday cake and that sparked a lot of interest.

3. The food network is the only channel that is on when I’m home.

4. I have been obsessed with art since I was a child and my parents really encouraged this interest as a child.

5. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Education and Honours in Fine Arts.

6. I am a ceramic artist and have had and been apart of successful exhibitions selling and showcasing my work. I dream of getting back into it one day.

7. I would love to have my own cooking show!

8. I have strong interest in Symbology, Mythology and Archaeology. You’ll never need a tour guide if I’m around.

9. I have a weird obsession with anything that is coconut, edible or not.

10. I am of Greek heritage, although my maiden name is German. Dad’s from Kalamata and mum’s from Crete. Elder sis and I were born here in Sydney.

11. Majority of Disney movies, I never watched in English until recently. They were all in Greek, which I enjoy far more.

12. To me, the most important room in the house is the kitchen.

13. My favourite animals are Koalas, all bears, tigers and lions. Meow.

14. If I could live in Greece, I would. I don’t care what anyone’s opinion is.

16. I prefer seafood over meat. But I still eat meat. Prawns and crabs are my fav!

17. My mother and I have been victims in a bank robbery. Not fun.

18. Master Chef approached me last year and asked me to consider auditioning for 2018.

19. My ultimate dream... I don’t think I have one. What ever comes my way that makes me happy is fine by me.

20. Most amazing experience of my life was visiting Hagia Sofia in Istanbul, Constantinople. Aaaand of course marrying my best friend ❤️
