Firstly, I’d like to thank all of you who sent wishes of wellness toward me yesterday. Your generosity of spirit was so welcomed and received. Surgery went well, and what a perfect day to rest with all this rain☔️ ... This mornings breakfast would probably not be perio approved but it’s what I was craving so I was careful not to chew on the left side. These little cuties were inspired by @choosingchia Banofee Pie Chia Pudding. I cut the maple syrup in half, and used almond butter instead of tahini. So yum. I have caramel sauce left over that I’m going to drench over icecream later🤤 Serves 2 Chia Pudding •2c homemade cashew milk •1/2c @navitasorganics chia seeds •2tsp @simplyorganicfoods Madagascar vanilla (aka, the good shit)👌🏼 Caramel Sauce •4tbsp @drbronner coconut oil •4tbsp almond butter (bought in bulk @karmacooptoronto •3tbsp maple syrup (also bought in bulk👆🏼) •1tsp vanilla (I’m thinking a pinch of Maldon sea salt next time to make it salty caramel) >in small pot on stove mix on medium. Tbh I walked away and it came to a bit of a boil. I turned it off and transferred to a small bowl to cool. I felt it was too runny so I added 1/2tsp of psyllium husk to thicken👍🏼 I waited for my sauce to cool then layered on top of chia pud. Sliced up banana, a few @pranasnacks Walnuts and finished it with @enjoyyoso Yogurt and @manitobaharvest Hemp seeds🙌🏼 If you make this LMK how it turns out. Officially my longest post ever.
